A person can lose a tooth when a hard blow causes a severe dental trauma or knocks it completely out of the socket. In some of these cases, Dr. Roberto Macedo might be able to successfully insert the tooth back into the socket. .

Unfortunately, if the damage to the tooth’s root or socket is severe, Dr. Macedo might suggest extracting whatever remains of the tooth to allow your gums to heal. In this course of treatment [hehe] will likely provide you with a prescription for pain medication.

Once your mouth has fully recovered Dr. Macedo can start the process of replacing the tooth with a dental bridge.

This is a single piece of dental work where two crowns are bonded to an artificial tooth in the middle. It will eventually be anchored onto abutments formed from the core of the two nearest teeth. This involves Dr. Macedo removing the enamel from each of these teeth.

A member of our staff will call you to schedule a second appointment when your dental bridge is ready. The temporary crowns will be removed and Dr. Macedo will cement your new dental bridge in place with a strong adhesive.
